letter to church family

805 Atchison Court
Jefferson City, MO
Jefferson City, Missouri 65101-3527

Dear Church Family,

My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am writing to you to introduce myself. My name is Alan L. Joplin and I am the new director of the Wesley Foundation at Lincoln University. I bring to this position over 30 years experience in teaching, student services and administration at the university level, in places like: Cenral State University/Ohio; Livingstone College/North Carolinia; and the University of Havana/Cuba. My mission experience includes many humanitarian missions to Cuba and other Central and South American countries. Most recently I served as Visiting Professor of Black and Political Theology at the Baptist Theological Seminary, in Zimbabwe, Africa. My time there was spent helping to train a cadre of men and women who will serve as leaders for both church and society.

I firmly believe in answering the Lord’s call no matter where it leads me for I know he put me on this path to share his words and love wherever I go. As your new Director of the Wesley Foundation, I look forward to sharing my mission with you. I look forward to becoming an active and valued member of this District as I continue to do God’s work. The door to the Wesley Foundation and services are always open and available to you, your church and youth groups. I sincerely hope that you will stop by as this school year gets underway and see what’s new as we sow the seeds of faith and God’s love here at Lincoln University.

Yours in the service of the Lord,

Reverend Alan L. Joplin, Director
Wesley Foundation
